Keyboard Accessibility:

  • Navigate our web pages by pressing the Tab key to move from one element to the next.

  • Shift + Tab will allow you to navigate backward.

  • Press Enter to select a link or button.

  • Press the Page up and Page Down buttons to scroll through a page.

*If you find a keyboard or mouse difficult to use, speech recognition software such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking may help you navigate web pages and online services. This software allows you to navigate a web page or application screen through voice controls.

Tips for Visually Impaired Visitors:

  • Zoom in to make a web page larger:

    • For Windows - Press the CTRL key and the + key simultaneously

    • For Mac - Press the CMD key and the + key simultaneously

  • Change the Color or Fonts on a web page:

    • For Chrome: Go to “Preferences” - Select “Show Advanced Settings” - Select “Web Content” - here you can customize fonts

    • For Microsoft Edge: Go to “Settings” - Click “Appearance” - Select “Customize Fonts” under the “Fonts” section

    • Images on our site have alt text so that screen readers can describe images to you.

Tips for Hearing Impaired Visitors:

  • Volume Control: Your computer, tablet, or mobile device has volume control features. In addition, each video and audio service has its own additional volume controls. Try adjusting both your device’s volume controls and your media players’ volume controls to optimize your listening experience.

  • Turn on Closed Captioning for Noel’s Residence YouTube Videos by clicking on the CC icon on the lower right-hand side of the video.

  • Turn on closed captioning on Noel’s Residence Facebook videos by clicking on the gear icon at the bottom of the video to open settings. Click “more video settings” and select “on” from the dropdown menu under “Always Show Captions.”
